Learn how to operate a motorcycle safely with emphasis on the special skills and mental attitude necessary for dealing with traffic. In the classroom, you'll learn about the different types of motorcycles, their controls, how they operate and how to become a responsible rider. After a thorough review of your motorcycle controls, you will move to the outdoor riding range and your instructors will start you off with straight-line riding, turning, shifting, and stopping. You will gradually progress to cornering, swerving, and emergency braking.
Motorcycles and helmets are provided. Students must ride our training motorcycles. Students must wear the following protective gear while riding during the course: eye protection, full finger gloves, long pants (no baggies or flares, no leggings, yoga, stretch or running pants), long sleeve shirt or jacket, sturdy shoes over the ankle or boots, and you must have a valid driver’s license.
NOTE: Safety is our primary concern, if safety becomes an issue during the class, RiderCoaches will require students to work on balance and coordination skills outside of the class and reschedule for a later class date. It is strongly recommended that participants practice riding a bicycle PRIOR to the class to refresh their balance and coordination.
